Luck (Be a Lady Tonight)
Luck is something that many people who get involved with self-help and personal development shun. Most shun it with good reason, as the people who say that others are "lucky" tend to do so out of a sense of helplessness or hopelessness. Other people who shun the idea of luck do so without acknowledging that something like luck exists at all. A classic - and quite poignant - definition of luck is Luck is when preparedness meets... Is Your Idea Worth Millions?
So you have a good idea. Maybe it's even a great idea. Now what? I am very happy for you. Chances are likely, though, that one of three things will happen. You will tell nobody about your idea for fear of it being stolen. You will think that your idea, in and of itself, has value and won't take any action on it. You will discover that someone is already doing something similar to what you thought of, so you'll toss your... (posted by Tony Michalski 3 years 38 days ago.)

The Origin of the Master Key System by Charles F Haanel
I received an email from a reader named Derek L. in which he wrote - Thanks for your great posts/blog. It's refreshing to see someone telling the truth and not selling more snake oil. I do have a question... I'm intrigued by the lineage of thoughts relating to this subject. Since you have a lot of exposure to this material I'm wondering if you have any ideas about where Haanel got his original... (posted by Tony Michalski 3 years 38 days ago.)

The Only 10 Books You Need to Read to Succeed
Personal development is a multi-billion dollar industry. That industry publishes literally thousands of books every year on the topic of success and how to achieve it. From the practical to the new age, there is a different flavor of book for every taste. So, which books should you read - which books will actually help you on your quest - and which books should you toss to the side? People are busy, so... If You Remember Any Law, Then Remember This Law: Segal's Law
Segal's Law says this: A man with one watch always knows what time it is. A man with two watches is never sure. Many have heard this before reading it here. What does it mean, though? That was the goal I had in mind when I wrote THE MASTER KEY WORKBOOK (http://www.masterkeyworkbook.com). In a nut shell, it is this (at least in the context of this discussion): When we pursue more than... (posted by Tony Michalski 6 years 171 days ago.)

What's the Difference?
I was driving to work as I usually do during the week. When I do, I look at the signs and businesses that line the roads and streets on which I drive. During this particular drive, I asked myself a quite common question and in doing so, revealed in myself the fatal flaw in my thinking. The fatal flaw that just may be the difference betwixt wealth and insecurity--becoming what I wish to be and remaining in my current position. ... (posted by Tony Michalski 6 years 280 days ago.)
